Why this project?
To uplift and restore dignity to victims of sexual abuse. Sexual abuse is a real scourge worldwide. It affects women, children and men. The numbers are alarming. Although voices are slowly being heard through films, articles or social media, the subject remains largely taboo.
LIGHT ON SHADOW is an artistic and human initiative aiming to break this taboo and provide a space of healing, recognition, and dignity for victims.
Through powerful and authentic photographic portraits by Benny Tache, a photographic artist and himself a survivor of sexual abuse, we highlight the beauty, strength and humanity of those who have endured the unthinkable.
Each portrait is accompanied by a written testimony, and for those who wish, a filmed interview. This content will be shared on our trilingual website (French, German, English), as well as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, to inspire, raise awareness and support.
LIGHT ON SHADOW is accessible to everyone, worldwide, 24/7. It acts as a balm and inspiration for survivors and raises awareness for the rest of the world.

lightonshadow.com is a quality website where portraits will be published, uplifting victims while revealing their truth. Each portrait will be accompanied by a written story, and for those who wish, a video testimony. This content will be shared on our site (French, German, English), as well as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, to inspire, raise awareness and support.
Light On Shadow is a powerful initiative, aiming to restore dignity and confidence to survivors through photographic portraits by artist Benny Tache, himself a survivor in his youth, known for his strong and authentic work.
The idea: an initiative accessible 24/7, worldwide. To provide a voice, courage and comfort to those who need it.
We will also collaborate with public and private entities sharing the same values and objectives. The more portraits we publish, the greater the impact of Light On Shadow will be.
The initiators
LIGHT ON SHADOW is a non-profit association. The core team is made up of four people, based between Montreux and Lausanne, Switzerland. Each brings skills in art, therapeutic support, communication, and administration.
Anyone wishing to take this step can contact us: info@lightonshadow.com. We discuss together the sharing options (website, social media…). There is no commitment: one can withdraw at any time. Stéphanie provides therapeutic support during this key process.
